Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, and today’s prompt is all about the best book I’ve read so far in 2017! To date, I’ve read around 110 books, and rated 23 of them 5 stars, so narrowing it down to only 10 books was a little tricky! That said, below are ten of my favorite reads of 2017 (so far!) The title of each book links back to Goodreads, so be sure to check them out! I’ve also included the description for each book as well as some quick thoughts on why I loved each book!
Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by The Broke and the Bookish! Today’s prompt is “Series I’ve Been Meaning to Start but Haven’t”. This prompt also led me to acknowledge out loud the fact that I’m awful at finishing series! Even if I liked the first book(s), I get distracted and then don’t finish them, so stay tuned for a companion piece to this post about series I’ve started but haven’t finished yet, which I’ll post on the blog soon!
I’ll also include the summary of the first book in each series, as well as the link to Goodreads so that you can check them out if you’re interested!
Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish and the theme this week is an open freebie related to Mother’s Day! I decided to feature 10 of the books I’ve recommended to my own mom!
In general, my mom reads a few different genres, but likes books that are upbeat, positive, and don’t have a ton of sexual content. Below are 10 books I’ve suggested she read!
Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, and this weeks theme is related to covers! The theme this week is open, as long as it’s cover related, and I decided that considering I have a Goodreads shelf dedicated to my favorite covers, that I’d share my 10 favorite book covers with you this week! I’ve also linked them all to Goodreads, so feel free to check out any that interest you!
Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, and this week’s theme is “top 10 things that will instantly make me NOT want to read a book”, which is the opposite of last week’s prompt, “top 10 things that will make me instantly want to read a book” (you can check out my post for that prompt here!)
So today, I get to rant about all of the things I don’t love in a book! Woohoo! Now, let me be clear, that I’m not judging anyone who likes the type of books below. Every reader is different and has unique likes and dislikes, and these just happen to be mine!
